FOREMOSTCO PURCHASES ORNAMENTALES SIEMPRE VERDE
IN COSTA RICA; NEW FIRM TO BE ORNAMENTALES SAPO VERDE, S.A.

MIAMI—June 9, 2003--ForemostCo, Inc. today announced the acquisition of the working assets of Ornamentales Siempre Verde, S.A. The new Company will be “Ornamentales Sapo Verde, S.A.” and will continue to be operated by the existing management team, led by General Manager, Gilberth Castillo.

Ornamentales Siempre Verde (OSV) is one of the premier producers of ornamental plant cuttings in Costa Rica with over 130 acres of which less than half is currently under cultivation. Established 18 years ago, OSV produces over eight million cuttings per year and has become one of the most respected producers of Crotons, Scheffleras and Dracaenas to both the North American and European markets.

ForemostCo, Inc. is a leading grower and distributor of ornamental starter plants to the North American floriculture industry. In its 16 years of operation, it has become the largest importer of live plants to the U.S., accounting for more than 20% of all plants brought into the country.

With the addition of Ornamentales Sapo Verde S.A., ForemostCo, Inc. now employs over 200. The firm operates five production and distribution facilities in Costa Rica and the U.S. ForemostCo has a strong distribution network throughout Malaysia, China and Taiwan, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador, South Africa, and Holland, as well as throughout the
U.S. and Canada.
